| Hatch Replacement projects |

The Freedom Row Hatch replacement project wound up taking me about three years to complete. Mainly because I was
competing with project space. Check it out if you have an old teak hatch that the core has rotted out of.

This project was the most recent bottom painting project. It was not major. During my first
bottom resurfacing project I learned alot about boats. Unfortunately I did not own a digital camera at the time.
I do have hard copies of photos of the project I will post when I have time to scan those. In the meantime this story
will show you a little about annual maintenance.

| Bulkhead Replacement Project |
|
|
One day as I was reaching into the port closet for my slicker, I was suprised to find out that it
was stuck to the aft bulkhead closest to the flip up bunk beds. Upon pulling out my slicker I noticed some small black bugs
and fuzzy stuff like mold on the bulkhead. When I reached in to clean off the bulkhead my fingers went right through the
wood. It was all rotten, after 30+ years it appears that water had created more damage. Here is the story on how I repaired
it.
